Dec. 21, 1950 - Oct. 4, 2016 Eileen Galea, 65, died Tuesday, Oct. 4, in Fair Oaks, after a battle with ALS. A native of Vallejo, she was one of four daughters born to Mike and Shirley Galea. She attended local schools graduating from Hogan Senior High School in 1969. She worked as a Farmers Insurance Agent, in Vallejo, for over 25 years. She moved to Rancho Murieta in 2014 to be near her aging father and was diagnosed with ALS shortly thereafter. Eileen was an accomplished tole painter and enjoyed many years as a member of the Toll Bridge Tolers making friends with many of her fellow painters. While growing up in Vallejo, in her painting and work life, Eileen touched the lives of many people she considered dear friends and was always lending a helpful hand to those in need. She is preceded in death by her parents, Shirley and Mike Galea and her brother-in-law, Gary Reed. Eileen is survived by three sisters, Kathleen (Lawrence) Henkel, Colleen (Simon) Morillo and Sharleen Olsen Reed. She also leaves behind three nieces, Leslie Fierro, Lauren Henkel, Nina Morillo and one nephew, Michael Olsen and one great nephew, Wren Fierro. Eileen's family would like to express their gratitude to the Spring Glen Elder Villa in Fair Oaks, and Bristol Hospice for their care and concern during her stay. Memorial donations can be made to ALS Association. A memorial celebration for Eileen will take place Saturday, Oct. 22, at the Rancho Murieta Village Clubhouse, 14751 Ponhco Conde Circle, Rancho Murieta, from 1 to 3 p.m.
