Eileen Willson Doremus LITTLE RIVER, SC - Eileen Willson Doremus, 68, died on Monday, October 10, 2016 at the McLeod Seacoast Medical Center in South Carolina. Born on October 2, 1948, she was the daughter of the late James and Loretta Kotz Willson. Eileen was raised in Green Island and resided there for many years. She then resided in Colonie before moving to South Carolina 12 years ago. She was a graduate of St. Joseph’s School and Heatly High School in Green Island and had been employed by Verizon for 30 years, retiring in 1996. She had been a communicant of the former St. Joseph’s Church in Green Island and a member of the Altar-Rosary Society. She was also a member and past officer of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Little River, SC. She is the beloved wife of 29 years of Kenneth Doremus; loving mother of Meghan (Adam) Smith and the late Scott Ward; cherished grandmother of Samantha “Sammie” Scott Smith; dear sister of Gayle (late Dr. Joseph) O’Connell and Jean Dubiac. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Watervliet. Calling hours will be held at the McNulty Funeral Home, 147 Hudson Avenue, Green Island on Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. prior to the Memorial Mass.
