Edward Peter SEVERSEN
SEVERSEN, Edward Peter Age 67 of Hamilton died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at home. He was born on March 14, 1949 in Cincinnati, son of Arne and Romilda (Gorman) Seversen. He was a 1967 graduate of Taft High School and attended Ohio University. He married Brenda Shepherd on October 9, 1976 in Hamilton. Ed was employed as a systems manager for Ohio Casualty/Liberty Mutual Insurance for 38 years, retiring in 2008. He was a member of St. Peter in Chains Church. He coached his son at WSLL including the Junior League World Series in 1994. He was inducted into the Butler County Softball Hall of Fame in 2010; he played softball with Ohio Life/OCASCO for 20 years. Ed enjoyed playing golf, cards, following Mt Healthy football and attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He enjoyed singing "You Can't Always Get What You Want" to his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Brenda Seversen; children, Amy (Arvie) Crouch and Christopher Seversen; sister-in-law Mary Seversen, and his three grandchildren, Anthony, Alayna and Alex Crouch, all of Hamilton. He is also survived by in laws Shana Shepherd, Tom and Krena Shepherd, Larry and Rita Green, Kurt and Tammy Kennedy and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Arne T. Seversen and brother-in-law Lee Shepherd. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society, Hospice of Cincinnati or National M.S. Society. Special thanks to Dr. Evan Lang and two hospice nurses, Cheryl and Belinda.
