In memory of
Edward W. Rogers February 11, 1938 - October 13, 2016 This precious man passed away, at the age of 78, on October 13, 2016. He was surrounded by his loving family. Ed was born in Modesto, California, where he has been a General Contractor for 46 years. He built many beautiful homes in the surrounding areas. Ed married Monica Hughes in 1959, in Carmel, California. They shared 57 years of loving each other. Ed's love for horses led him to joining and eventually becoming the President of the Turlock Horsemen's Club. He spent many summer weekends riding into the high country from Kennedy Meadows with his sons and grandsons. Those were highlights of his life until he was introduced to his four great grandchildren which were the sunshine in his life. Family and friends were his top priorities in life, next to his amazing love for his wife, Monica. Their love and dedication to each other was continuous, doing everything as one. Ed will be so missed by his wife, Monica, son, Kevin, grandsons, Josh (Kristen), Jeremy (Rachael), and his four precious great grandchildren, Kaylee, Landon, McKinley and Drew. Ed was preceded in death by his son, Randall. He also leaves behind his brothers, Roy, Bob and Tom and his brother in law, Larry (Pat) Hughes. Ed was a faithful and loving husband, a devoted father, a teacher and an inspiration to his grandchildren and great grandchildren; as well as a loyal friend and all around amazing person. The void he has left is felt by many. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 1:30pm at the Turlock Horsemen's Club:1506 S. Tegner Rd. Turlock, CA 95380. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or a charity of your choice. www.cvobituaries.com
