Mackey, Edward V. ALBANY Edward V. Mackey passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of April 17, 2017. Edward was the son of Anna and Charles Mackey (deceased). He was employed by Graves and Rodgers Liquor Distributors for over 40 years; he was a proud Navy veteran serving on the U.S.S. Auburn during World War II. He was a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church. Edward was predeceased by his son, Keith Mackey; and his sister and brother, Loretta and William.Survivors include his four daughters, Janet Mackey, Charlene Bernat, Kathleen Mackey and Joanne (Richard) Lovely; and his son, Douglas (Marcia) Mackey. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Michelle (Jeffrey) Martin, Michael (Valerie) Bernat and Christine Bernat; also, Brian (Callen) Mackey, Dave Mackey and Connor and Daniel Lovely. He also leaves behind his sisters, Shirley (Howard) Klopfer, and Lorraine Cornell; and is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 21, in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, 1389 Central Ave., Albany.
