Edward J. Graff
Edward J. Graff, 72, of South Scranton, died Friday morning at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center after a long battle with Parkinson's disease and dementia. His wife of 41 years is the former Anne Wienckowski. Born in Scranton, son of the late Edward J. and Helen Knecht Graff, he was a member of St. John Neumann Parish and was a graduate of St. Mary of the Assumption High School. Before retirement, he was a self-employed landscaper for many years. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War and was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany. He was an avid bowler, loved music, enjoyed softball and was a sports enthusiast. He was a loving husband and brother who will be deeply missed. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center for all the compassion and care given to Edward. Also surviving are a brother, Jerry Graff and wife, Marilyn, Clarks Summit; nieces and nephews, Jerry Graff and wife, Chrissy; Brian Graff and wife, Kim; Jeff Graff and wife, Chrissy; and Michael Moses and wife, Tara; eight great-nieces and great-nephews; and cousins. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at the convenience of the family in Nativity of Our Lord Church, St. John Neumann Parish, by the Rev. Michael Bryant, pastor. Arrangements, August J.
