Edward J. Ayube
Edward "Eddie" Joseph Ayube, age 75 years, longtime resident of Middleboro, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2017, at Nemasket Healthcare Center, Middleboro. He was the husband of Joan (Goodnow) Ayube; they had been married for 48 years. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Hutchinson) Ayube. Eddie was a member of the Local Teamsters 25, for more than 40 years, as a truck driver for Stop & Shop. He drove out of D Street Facility, as well as Reedville Facility. He enjoyed stock car racing, which involved trips to Daytona, Fla., football, and spending time with his family. Eddie had many friends throughout his life and wherever he went there was someone that knew him. Survivors include his wife, Joan of Middleboro; two daughters, Debra J. and her husband Timothy Glass of Londonderry, N.H., Diana L. and her husband Shawn McCormack of Sturbridge; a brother, Joseph G. Ayube of Quincy; a sister, Mary G. Kerr of Rockland; 3 beloved grandchildren, Faith and Haley McCormack, both of Sturbridge, Katherine Glass of Londonderry, N.H.; and many friends. Visiting hours will be held Monday, January 16, from 4-7 p.m. in the Ashley Funeral Home, 35 Oak St., Middleboro. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Tuesday, January 17, at 10 a.m. Burial will follow at Titicut Parish Cemetery, N. Middleboro.
