Douglas Earl MANSFIELD: Douglas Earl, resident of Mansfield, age 63 died Sunday, April 9, 2017 at Ohio Health in Mansfield. Born November 20, 1953 in Marion to Linden Earl and Barbara (Burnside) Peebles, he had been a Mansfield resident for the past 35 years. Doug was the owner and operator of Roseland Tire in Mansfield and The Wheel McCoy, tire and rim shop in Shelby. He enjoyed model cars, camping and fishing, but his real passion was helping people. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. He employed lots of kids just to give them the chance to better themselves through his shops. He is survived by his son, Nathan Earl; parents, Barbara (Steve) Peebles of Shelby and Linden (Linda) Earl of Lafayette, IN; "adopted" grandson, Branson Horsley; two brothers, Dan (Lacrecia) Earl of Crestline and Dean Earl of Mansfield; one sister, Debra (Larry) Levering of Mt. Gilead and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clyde & Cleta Burnside and paternal grandparents, Gene & Bernice Earl. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at the First United Methodist Church, 12 N. Diamond St. Mansfield, Ohio 44902. Rev. Donald Kuntz of the First United Methodist Church in Mansfield and Rev. James Macdonald of the First United Methodist Church in Shelby will officiate. Friends may call at the Mansfield church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial expressions may be made to the Shelby First United Methodist Church or to the First United Methodist Church on the square in Mansfield.
