Dorothy J. Hobbs
Dorothy J. Hobbs, 66, of Factoryville, died Monday morning in Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton. The daughter of the late Wilbur and Louise Weber Ross, born in Wilkes-Barre, on Jan. 10, 1950. Her husband was the late William W. Hobbs, who died March 29, 2013. Dorothy enjoyed crosswords, Sudoku, reading, baking, cooking and spending time with family and friends. Surviving are daughters, Peggy Hobbs and wife, Joan, of Old Forge; and Megan Ayers, of Slatington; and Felicity Ayers, at home; three sisters, Marie Goga, Joann Ross and Barbara Grisalfi; six brothers, Donny and Charles Cook, Jim, Daniel Sr., Kenny and Wilbur Ross; granddaughter, Jessica Hobbs; and grandson, Patrick and wife, Krista King; and one person she thought of as her child, James Ross; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Dave, Bob, Austin Cook and Rick Ross. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. from the Anthony P. Litwin Jr. Funeral Homes Inc., 33 Reynolds St., Factoryville, with the Rev. Paul Fields II officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to service time.
