Dorothy Miller Gray
Dorothy W. Miller Gray, 101, formerly of Moore Township, passed away on Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Moravian Hall Square in Nazareth. She was the wife of the late Robert W. Miller with whom she shared 32 years of marriage prior to his death in 1973. She later married C. Pearce Gray who died in 1988. Born in Heidelberg Township, on October 20, 1915, she was a daughter of the late Harvey E. and Cula (Werner) Shireman. A devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, Dorothy worked in the meat department of the former Keppel's I.G.A. in Bath from 1973 to her retirement in 1980. Dorothy was a life-long, active member of Covenant United Methodist Church of Klecknersville where she served as the organist, choir director, Sunday school teacher and on various committees throughout the years. Among her favorite pastimes were gardening, flowers and spending time with her family. Survivors: She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by her children, James R. Miller, Sr. of Moore Township and Rita Miller Haines and her husband, Gerald C. Jr. of Hagerstown, Maryland; five grandchildren, Pamela Szivos and her husband, Joseph of Moore Township, James R. Miller, Jr. and his wife, Paulette of Bethlehem, Jennifer Longenbach and her husband, Stephen of Moore Township, Alexander and William Haines both of Hagerstown, Maryland; two great-grandchildren, Lauren DeFiore of Moore Township and Jakob Miller of Bethlehem; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her late first and second husbands, she was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Frances (Sensenbach) Miller, as well as two brothers, Carl and Harvey Shireman, and four sisters, Irene, a toddler, Miriam Bloss, Beatrice Bensing and Lottie Rapp. Services: will be held on Tuesday evening, April 18, 2017, at 7:30 P.M. in Covenant United Methodist Church of Klecknersville, 2715 Mountain View Drive, Bath, PA 18014. Friends and relatives are invited to call on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 7:15 P.M. in the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE G.
