June 5, 1918 - February 11, 2017 Doroteo Quinones, born June 5, 1918 embraced God on February 11, 2017 peacefully at his home in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 98. Mr. Quinones was not only an Army Veteran of World War ll but a baseball player in the Spanish American League and a lifelong member of his church St. James. His hobbies included baseball, boxing, singing and playing his guitar as well as gardening. In his leisure time he enjoyed sitting outside listening to his records or telling stories to his grandchildren from when he was a young man Mr. Quinones was preceded in death by his beloved wife Eloisa Quinones. He is survived by his daughters Rachel Quinones and Ashley Quinones; sons Jimmy Quinones, Ray Quinones (Dolores), John Quinones, Tony Quinones, Robert Quinones, and Robert Quinones, Jr.; sisters Maria Castillo and Manuela Ortega; brothers Jose Quinones and Rodolfo Quinones; he is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. SERVICES:Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM with a Rosary at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at Brookehill Funeral Home. Funeral Procession will depart at 9:15 AM on Thursday, February 16, 2017 for a Mass at 10:00 AM at St. James the Apostle Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. 2.
