Mrs. Timaeus passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Tyler. Doris L. Timaeus was born and raised in Tyler. She attended Tyler High School and then went to Scott & White in Temple to get her degree in nursing. This is when she met and fell in head over heels for husband, Arthur "Art" Timaeus. They were married for 65 years. Doris was a LVN for 38 years working at CMFH, Glenwood Clinic and Melrose Nursing Home. She could give a shot better than the doctors or other nurses. Doris loved her family, and was a member of Pleasant Retreat United Methodist Church of Life. She loved to Quilt with the ladies in the Piecemakers quilting circle at the church. They really had a great time quilting. Mom made all of her children and grandkids a quilt. They were gorgeous, Her joys of life were taking care of the grandkids, cooking, and lots of quilting. She loved to play Hand & Foot or Dominoes, Train and Chicken Foot. Mom was the sweetest woman on earth, never getting upset over anything we did. Her whole family was her pride and joy, whether blood kin or not. We will miss her sweet face and temperment. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art Timaeus; a son, Rodney Timaeus and two brothers, Bruce and Mike McCameron.
