In memory of
Doris Jane Hoff
Oct. 16, 2016 Doris Jane Hoff, 82 of Vacaville, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 16. She had been battling an illness approximately a month prior to her peaceful passing; surrounded by her loving husband, family, and friends. Doris met the love of her life, David C. Hoff through mutual friends. After a short courting, they were married in a church on Nov. 17, 1950. They would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary next month. Doris and Dave Hoff had two children, Susan Marie Hoff and David D. Hoff. They shared a life of love, laughter, vacations to the Sierras, and faith. Doris always had an open door policy and made everyone who knew her feel loved unconditionally. In addition to her own children, Doris loved and cared for many relatives, raising them as her own. Her motherly faith in Jesus Christ was not theoretical, she lived by her faith and example of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Such dynamic faith produced tremendous works of righteousness. Those who knew her had never seen such a hardworking person. She loved to talk, share her notable events in testimony, worship, prayer, singing, and reading her Bible. Her example was a tremendous one. She always prayed with passion, power, and understanding knowing her calling; she regularly engaged in intercession prayer, bearing witness to her Lord at all times to all sorts of people without any fear. Doris gave the confidence, courage, and wisdom to do anything. Her smile and laughter were contagious and will be deeply missed. Predeceasing her in death is her father, Jim Hill; mother, Ethel Hill; sister, Rosemary Shirley; daughter, Susan Marie Nancett; grandson, James Richards; grand-daughter in law, Romme Richards; great grandson, Christian Richards; nephews, Bud and Richard Shirley and many others. Doris leaves behind her loving husband, David C. Hoff; son, David D. Hoff; brother, Jim Hill; son in law, Martin M. Nancett; grandchildren, Julie Anne Harris-Hoff, Amber M. Reed, Martin Nancett; great grandchildren, Aura Rae, James Patrick, James Richards Jr., Lloyd Cargo V., Mark Anthony Hoff, Joshua Reed, Arabella Susan Rose Reed, and great great grandson, David John Patrick.
