Doris E. Dillman
Doris E. Dillman, 94, of Williamsburg, Va., formerly of Ringtown, passed away peacefully Feb. 10. Born in Shenandoah, March 12, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Raymond E. and Sarah Artley Herbein. Doris and her husband, Robert, owned and operated a farm in the Ringtown Valley for almost 50 years. For most of that time it was a thriving Christmas tree farm where families would wander through the snow each Christmas checking many trees before selecting their perfect tree. Doris was a lifetime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Robert F. Dillman; sister, Jean Keithan; brothers, Charles, Donald and Elwood Herbein. She is survived by two sons, Robert P. Dillman and his wife, Ann, Williamsburg, and Ronald R. Dillman and his wife, Christine, Windermere, Fla.; a granddaughter, Susan Dillman, Williamsburg; grandsons, Robert A., Yorktown, Va., Ronald S., Reading, and Jeffery, Windermere; great-granddaughters, Katherine and Margaret Dillman, both of Yorktown; nieces and nephews. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in the Old White Church Cemetery, Ringtown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to donor's favorite charity in Doris' name.
