Doris Depin, age 73, of Fall River, passed away Friday, April 14, 2017 at home. She was the wife of the late, Richard Depin and loving companion of Guy Borges. Dorrie was born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Skelly and Mary Doris (ONeil) Quick. Dorrie was an addiction councilor for Edgehill in Newport and one of the founders of the Council of Alcohol Addiction through the F.R. Chamber of Commerce. She helped others with her own 35 years of sobriety and dedication. She was an avid musician and a star high school athlete. Dorries famous quote was, I Tried. In addition to Dorries companion she is survived by a son James Scott Tickel and wife Gayle of Somerset, three daughters, Skelly Desorcy and husband David, Robyn Tickel and companion Scott Bernier all of Swansea and Erin St. Laurent and companion Carl Bernier of Fall River. She also leaves a brother Daniel Skelly of MA. She was Nana to Amy, Chari, Alyssa, Cassie, Jack, Cameron, Cody and Kori and she also was the great-grandmother of ten. Visitation will be held Monday, April 17, 2017, from 4:00PM to 7:00PM in the Boule Funeral Home, 615 Broadway, Fall River with a memorial service to follow. Burial at Mass National Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Gifts may be made in Dorries name to Alcohol Addiction of F.R.
