Donna Mae (Rockrohr) Westerhausen, 79, from Tinley Park, Illinois, died on Thursday, October 6, 2016, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Plymouth, Indiana. Donna was bom on November 12, 1936, to the late Lester and Hermine (Grote) Rockrohr in Markham, Illinois. She graduated from Thornton Township High School in 1954 and attended Inver Hills College for one year in Minnesota. On June 8, 1957 she was united in marriage to Donald R. Westerhausen, Sr. Together they raised their two boys, Donald Jr. and David in Tinley Park, eventually moving to Apple Valley, Minnesota. In later years she lived in Walhalla, Michigan and returned to Tinley Park. Donna was a very hard working person. If there was a job to be done, she did it well and tackled it with gusto. She had her resume updated and ready to go even at the age of 79. Donna was a very energetic person, one who never liked to sit down. As a child her Dad gave her the nickname "Dynamite". She was always on the go visiting family and friends and loved helping anyone who was in need. Donna touched many lives and will be missed by all those who knew and loved her. She had a passion for sports, especially the Chicago Cubs and the Northwestern Wildcats.
