Donna Jean Boggs Shobe, 87, passed away Monday, Jan. 9, 2017, at a local care center in Fort Worth. Graveside service: A private (family only) service will be held in Greenwood Memorial Park, where Donna will be buried alongside her mother. She was born July 29, 1929, in Perry, Okla., to Harold Archibald Boggs and Louise Wiederkehr Boggs. She married Clinton Leroy Shobe on Feb. 20, 1953, and he survives. Donna was a longtime resident of Fort Worth, where she lived since leaving her childhood home in Ponca City, Okla., at age 24. She graduated from Ponca City High School in 1947 and worked at Northern Oklahoma Gas Company until her marriage to Clint Shobe. They relocated to Fort Worth in 1953, where Clint hired on as an aircraft engineer at Convair Aircraft Corporation. The consummate homemaker, Donna loved reading, home decorating, travel and fine dining. A friend to all and always a smile on her face, Donna's warm nature and neighborly hospitality will remain in our memories. Survivors: Husband, Clint Shobe; son, Mark Shobe and wife, Linda Griffith; daughter, Cynthia Shobe Blanton and husband, Harry; granddaughter, Linsey Shobe Sappington and husband, Christopher; great-granddaughters, Peyton and Hayden Sappington; grandson, Taylor Shobe and wife, Emma; and great-grandson, Reed Shobe.
