In memory of
Donna Larson MULROONEY
Donna Marie (Larson) Mulrooney, a lady of true dignity, began her eternal celebration on January 7, 2017. Donna was born in St. Paul on March 10, 1935 to Emilia and Arthur Larson. She was graduated from Nativity grade school, Derham Hall high school, and the College of St. Catherine (now St. Catherine University) where she made lifelong friends. After grad-uation, she worked at the Minneapolis Society for the Blind Rehabilitation Center. While in high school, Donna met her husband, Thomas F. Mulrooney, and together they journeyed through 58 years of marriage. Their life together included many joys and challenges. As a team, they faced Tom's bout with Polio, managed his long medical career, raised five children, and celebrated the arrival of 15 grandchildren. Donna's words and actions taught love and generosity to all she met. Her strength came from her Catholic faith, and she graciously passed this gift along to her two daughters and three sons. They are better people because she was their mother and they will miss her immensely: Lynn Kerber (Bob), Michael Mulrooney (Jada Jacob), Daniel Mulrooney (Phillip Lies), Timothy Mulrooney (Melissa), and Molly Wade (Steve). Her love knew no bounds when it came to her grandchildren: Thomas, Joseph, Abby, and Grace (Lynn); Kayla and Megan (Mike); Caleb and Brianna (Dan); Simon, Emmett, and Abraham (Tim); and Conor, Quinn, Billy, and Maggie (Molly). She will live on in their hearts and memories forever and will continue to guide them in their lives from Heaven. Donna served as a quiet pillar of her community. She was an avid and talented "stitcher" who made countless gifts for others. Over the years, Donna was graced with caring and compassionate friends who were very dear to her. She cherished them and held them close to her heart. Donna's actions and beliefs taught those around her the meaning of deep faith and prayer. She lived life as a servant of Christ, always giving to others before herself. She lived each day in grateful celebration of God's gifts to her. Health challenges and illness came late in life. Donna tolerated these crosses as she bore all challenges in life - with grace, patience, and faith. She trusted the Lord in all ways and waited patiently for Him to carry her home, which He did on January 7, 2017. We are thankful to God for sharing her with us and look forward to the day when we will be reunited with her again in Heaven. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Saturday, January 14, 2017 at LUMEN CHRISTI CATHOLIC CHURCH (2055 Bohland Ave., St. Paul) with visitation from 8:30 AM until time of service at the church. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. 651-698-0796
