Donna June (Hazel) Cowhey of Palmdale, CA, age 74, passed away September 18, 2016, in Palmdale, CA. She was born in Wheatcroft, KY, on August 27, 1942, to George Delmer and Janie Girlyne (Wheeler) Hazel and raised in Evansville, IN, with her sister Linda and brother Daryl. She was a graduate of North High School in 1960, married Raymond Reuter and was a stay at home mom to their three children Scott, Sandy, and Susan. She once owned a ceramic shop and later a jewelry & fashion accessory business. After Ray's passing, she worked at Deaconess Hospital as an Escort then as a Respiratory Therapist (RT). In 2003, she and her husband John moved to California to be with her children and grandchildren. She was a RT at Antelope Valley Hospital in Lancaster, CA, until retiring in 2013. She enjoyed cooking & baking, traveling, and spending time with her family. She was talented at multiple arts & crafts and loved to celebrate every holiday, carrying on many family traditions. She is survived by her husband of 21 years John Cowhey of Palmdale, CA; her children Scott (Ann) Reuter of Astoria, OR, Sandra Reuter of Marina del Rey, CA, and Susan (Kraig) Maris of Saugus, CA; grandchildren, Eilise (Nick) Servies, and Amanda & Sarah Maris; siblings, Linda Alexander and Daryl (Todd) Taylor-Hazel; niece, Stacy Alexander; nephews Chris Alexander, Ben & Max Taylor-Hazel; and great-niece Taylor Alexander. She was preceded in death by her parents Delmer (1999) and Janie (2013), and Raymond Reuter (1985). A celebration of her life will be held in California. Interment will take place in the summer of 2017 at Salem Church in Evansville, IN.
