Donald Wimberley Portsmouth - Donald Lawson Wimberley, 84, passed away peacefully in his home on Feb. 14, 2017. Don lived well, loved well, and was always helping others. Don was an active member of Jackson Memorial Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, took numerous mission trips in the US and abroad, and served on varied church committees. He loved and served his country as a Korean War era Army Veteran. He retired as Vice President of Smith and Welton department stores after beginning his career as an elevator operator in the downtown Norfolk location.
