Donald W. White
Donald W. White, 86, passed away Sunday, Oct. 2, 2016. Don was born to Ralph and Dorothy White Oct. 22, 1929, and lived most of his life in the Chicago land area, receiving his high school diploma from Lane Tech High School. He served in the Army, first in occupied Japan after World War II. He was then called back into service in 1950, serving in the 7th Division during the Korean War. On April 11, 1953, he was married to Joan J. Rapp in Chicago, Ill. They lived most of their lives in the Chicago area. Upon return from the Korean War, Don began working for the Chicago Tribune as a printer, He would retire in 1995, having spent over 45 years with the Tribune Company. In 2005, Don and Joan moved to the Keller area, spending their remaining years living at the Conservatory Retirement Community in Keller. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan; and brother, Roderick White. Survivors: Daughter, Diane Witosky and her husband, Thomas; son, Mark D. White and his wife, Judith; sisters, Dorothy Judd and Kathleen Gurrieri; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
