Donald Clinton Smith
Donald Clinton Smith Age 82, he passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016. He was born in Monarch, Wyoming on January 7, 1934 to Sumner "Smitty" Smith and Rosa Benedict Smith who moved to the Seattle area when Don was four years old. The beloved husband of Charlotte and proud father of Dustan (DC) and Dale. He is also survived by sister Jacquie, and her husband Steve Weiss and niece Jennifer and her children, Keenan, Cory and Serena: nephew Jeff and his children, Trintin, Peyton Dawn and Abigail and niece Amye and her husband, Joe Seppa, as well as family in Montana and Wyoming. His family settled in Burien where he attended grade school and later graduated from Lakeside Prep School. Starting at a very young age, he was employed by Henry Bacon, Inc where he worked as a crane operator, and later, with is father owned Smith and Son Building Materials, Inc. Don was a devoted family man: he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, football basketball and especially rodeo. Don was a proud and devoted member of the Masonic Bodies for more than 50 years-Queen Anne Lodge #242, Scottish Rite, the Royal Order of Jesters, the Order of the Q, Life Membership in Nile Shrine and the Director Staff. He was a member of the Ballard Elks Club. A Celebration of Don's Life will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at 1:00 pm at the Nile Shrine Center, 6601 244th St. SW, Mountlake Terrace, WA 98043-2750. It is Don's wish, that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Nile Shrine Center DAD Fund.
