Donald Allen "Hoppy" Hopkins Sr., 78, of Burnside, died on Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. The son of Robert E. Hopkins Sr. and Edith C. He was the president of Hoppy's Savage Inn, his family's hunting camp. Two of his favorite hobbies were being a ferrier and riding on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. In recent years, there were many days of the week at places throughout the area that you could find him pursuing his passion for karaoke. Don even carried his own "little black book" full of the listing of his favorite karaoke songs, which he would sing alone and with his grandsons. On March 10, 1961, Don married the late Helen L. (Armstrong) Hopkins, with whom he shared 44 years of marriage. He is survived by two children, Daniel G.
