Donald W. Hawk Jr.
Donald W. Hawk, Jr., 67, of Bangor, passed away, Monday, October 17, 2016, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Catherine F. (Pysher) Hawk, who passed away, April 25, 2012. Born in Moore Township, October 5, 1949, he was the son of the late Donald W. and Arlene (Eckhart) Hawk. Donald was a 1967 graduate of Nazareth High School and served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War in the Caribbean and Mediterranean. Prior to retiring, he was employed by the Episcopal Apartments of the Slate Belt. Prior to that he worked at Victaulic and Lone Star Cement. For many years he coached Bangor Little League Baseball, and Blue Valley Patriots Football. He is survived by four sons, Albert and LeRoy Parry in Florida, and Donnie Hawk and Jake Baldini both of Bangor, two daughters, Cheryl Bossert of South Bangor, and Tracy Sipos of Martins Creek, eighteen grandchildren and many great grandchildren, a sister Ruth Garr of Plainfield Township, and three brothers, Henry C. Hawk of West Virginia, Daniel I. Hawk of South Carolina, and Harrison H. Hawk of Bangor. He was preceded by a son Brian Parry, three daughters, Kimberly Walden, and Dottie and Audrey Parry and a brother, David Hawk. Following cremation, Memorial Services will be held, Saturday, October 22, 2016, at 11 AM at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, www.ruggierofuneralhome.com , 126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl. There will be a visitation beginning at 9 AM until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will be in North Bangor Cemetery.
