Donald Wayne Barnes Jr. passed unexpectedly Oct 12, 2016. He was born Sept. 23, 1950 and was preceded in passing by his Father, (US Army Air Force Captain) Donald Wayne Barnes Sr., and Mother, Elizabeth (Burnette)"Betty" Barnes. Survived by his two sons Donald Wayne Barnes III and Bryan Anthony Barnes, 4 grandchildren Donald Wayne Barnes IV, Alexandria Bradney, Sophia Nicole Barnes, Brett Allen Anthony and 4 great-grandchildren Kacen James Barnes, Gabriella Ida Miles, Faith Rosa-Lee Miles, and Nicholas Charles Anthony. He graduated from Fairview High School, and retired from Haysite Plastics. He Devoted and Loved his time with his sons and grandchildren as a coach, and an assistant commissioner (old/new Wolverine field) and received an appreciation award "for his personal commitment and meritorious efforts to the program" (a span of 34 years) from Boys & Girls Baseball in Erie Inc. He was a kind and generous soul that was loved by his family and friends. He was a loving father and beloved by many, he will be missed and his heart of gold will not be forgotten. Friends may call on Tuesday at the Francis V. Kloecker Funeral Home, Inc. 2502 Sassafras St. Erie, Pa. 16502 from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. with the Rev.
