Don L. Muncy
Don L. Muncy, 73 of Altus, passed away Tuesday, March 14, at his home in Altus. Funeral services have been scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 18. Burial will follow in the Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home and Cremation Service. The Muncy family will greet friends Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kincannon Funeral Home. Don was born November 5, 1943 to Billy Lee and Lois Eva (Seeles) Muncey in Lee County, Virginia. He attended school in Harlan, Kentucky and graduated from River Rouge High School in Ecorse, Michigan. He continued his education at Mesa Community College where he attained an associate degree in business. Don and Carol Campbell were united in marriage on May 6, 1965 in Mesa, Ariz. He served his country in the United States Air Force from 1962 to 1967, being honorably discharged. Don was a security administrator for Allied Signal/Honeywell for 30 years from 1967 to 1997. He then went to work for Best Western as night auditor and kept books for 20 years. Don was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, mowing grass, and being outdoors. He loved spending time with family and friends. Don is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Kenny and Ralph Muncey; one sister Shirley Alred; and three brothers-in-law, Jack Bishop, Junior Brock and Don Alred. He is survived by his wife Carol of the home; daughter Rhonda Vega; sons, Mark Muncy, and Paul Muncy and wife Cynthia; six grandchildren, Tia Leeanna Vega, Marissa Vega, Justin Muncy, Dillon Muncy, Katherine Grace Muncy and Jacob Muncy; and three sisters, Frances Brock, Glenda Naillon and husband Benny, and Judy Bishop.
