Don Randall Ellis, beloved husband and father, passed away on Friday, October 7, 2016, surrounded by his family. Don was 63 years old, a Fresno, CA native, and graduate of Hoover High School. Don served as a proud school bus driver for Central Unified School District for 22 years. In days following Don's death, folks remember him most for his gentle and kind spirit. Don's sense of humor filled a room with laughter. Don found joy in almost everything, but some of his favorite moments in life were spent playing Santa Claus, supporting his favorite San Francisco 49er football team, fishing with his family and his beloved fishing pole, cooking a meal or eating out with his kids, and most of all, bragging about how proud he was of his children and grandkids. Don loved deeply and will be deeply missed. Don, lovingly known as Randy, Pop and Poppa, is survived by his wife of 26 years, Sally Ellis; and his five children, Vincent Ellis, Crystal Ellis, Michael Ellis, Desiree Amariei, and Matthew Ellis. He was a proud grandfather of six grandchildren, Devyn Ellis, Gabriel, Sofia and Viviana Amariei, Parker and Miriam Ellis. He was adored by his siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was the heart and soul of his family. A Celebration of his Life will take place at Woodward Park, Sunset View Picnic Shelter, on Sunday, October 23, 2016, from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m.
