SMYRNA - Dominick Paul Potocki passed away on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 with his wife by his side at Kent General Hospital in Dover. He was born Dec. 19, 1931 in New York, N.Y., the son of the late Paul and Mathilda Potocki. Mr. Potocki retired after 42 years of service with International Playtex of Dover. Throughout his career at Playtex, he was known to be very inventive, making old items work that had been thrown out. Dominick enjoyed his time with his hunting and golf friends and enjoyed life to the fullest. He was also a very generous man, many times offering money, clothing or anything needed by anyone. In addition to his parents, he was preceded by his son, Paul; his sister, Tina Janucik; and his brother, John Czyziewska. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Peggy; his daughter, Donna Seighman and her husband, Charlie, of Summerville, S.C.; two granddaughters, Laura Horzelski and her husband, Travis, of Louisiana and Amy Seighman, of Folly Beach, S.C.; his special extended family members, Lisa Billings, Howard Lucas, Amanda Billings, Scott Hadaway, Mackenzie Hadaway and SJ Hadaway, all of Smyrna. A visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 17, 2016 from 5 to 6 p.m. in the Faries Funeral, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 6 p.m. Burial will be private.
