Dolores Irene Miller Born: September 8, 1928 Died: April 14, 2017 Dolores Irene Miller, age 88, of Shabbona died Friday, April 14, 2017 at Prairie Crossing Living and Rehab Center in Shabbona. Dolores was born September 8, 1928 and graduated from Shabbona High School in 1946. She married Warren Miller Jr. of Shabbona on February 14, 1948. She was employed by General Electric in DeKalb in the payroll department for 33 years. Dolores also served as a Republican Election judge for over 30 years. She enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Florida. Dolores loved to socialize (gossip) at the Kountry Kitchen with her many friends and never turned down the offer of a Margarita. She will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor. Dolores is survived by her 2 sons, Douglas of Denver, CO and David (Brenda) of Geneva, IL; son-in-law, Gary Rachas of Shabbona; her sister, Roberta Flewellin of Shabbona; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Miller Jr.; daughter, Deborah Rachas; grandson, Ryan Rachas; and her sister, Rose Marie Johnson. Her family would like to thank Prairie Crossing Nursing and Rehab and Vitas Hospice for the loving care she received in the final stage of her life. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 o'clock Saturday morning April 22 at the Shabbona United Church of Christ with Reverend James Allen officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 o'clock Saturday morning until the time of services at the church. A luncheon will be held at the church after the memorial service to celebrate her life.
