Dino Alexander Copes - The soul of our family passed away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017, at the age of 97 with his devoted family by his side.
He was born on August 27, 1919 in Oakland, California. He worked for Merrill Lynch for 57 years and retired as Vice President. He was an accomplished accordionist and he enriched all who heard him perform. Dino was the beloved husband of the late Pearl J. Copes; loving father of Janet Copes and Jane (Chip) Ryan; caring grandfather of Alex (Carley) Dutra, Lora (Blair) Labaree and Jason Doodokyan; loving great-grandfather to Sophia, Tanner, Aspen, Maverick, Wyatt, Grace and Eva; loving uncle to Debbie Ciriscioli; and loving brother of the late Pete Copes and Lena Ciriscioli.
Dino was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Friends and family are invited to Mass at 10:30 am on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at St. Bartholomew's Church, 600 Columbia Drive, San Mateo, California, followed by a luncheon celebration at the Hillsborough Racquet Club, 252 El Cerrito Avenue, Hillsborough, California.
