In memory of
Diane Quinnan, 55, of South Scranton, formerly of Throop, passed on Thursday, Oct. 13, at home with her beloved husband, Paul, and her family at her side after a brave seven year battle with cancer. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Joyce Dozack. A 1979 graduate of Mid Valley High School, she was a former member of St. Joseph's Church at Divine Mercy Parish in Minooka. Diane dedicated her life to caring not only for her children, but also felt a duty to care for the children of others as well, as she was a foster parent for Lackawanna County Children and Youth Services for 18 years. Diane wished to extend a very special thanks to nephew, Mark Santiniello, who was with her through thick and thin, as well as all of the doctors, nurses and hospital staff, especially Dr. Eric Smith. She wanted everyone to know that her heart goes out to all cancer victims. Additional survivors include her children, Adam, Evan and Sgt. Joshua Benjamin Lee; and a grandson, Evan; a brother, David Dozack and wife, Sharon; a sister, Debbie Bozym and husband, Joe; mother-in-law, Mary Quinnan; brothers-in-law, Joseph and wife, Carol Quinnan; Jerry and wife, Dorothy Quinnan; Tony and wife, Brenda Quinnan; and Jimmy Quinnan; sister in-law, Trudy and husband, Tony Santiniello; niece, Kiersten Bell and husband, Willie; nephew, David Dozack and wife, Lani; great-nieces, Carly, Joy and Evelyn; in addition to nine nieces and nephews; and 11 great-grand-nieces and great-grand-nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Robert Quinnan. In accordance with her wishes, Diane has been cremated. The funeral will be Tuesday with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church at Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St., celebrated by the Rev. Francis Pauselli, pastor.
