Lindenau, Diane Harriet (Nee Kirchner ) Age 84, passed away on 10/13/2016 after a long illness. She grew up in Wauwatosa and attended UW-Madison. After graduation, she taught children of the US Military in France. She also taught in California before returning to Wisconsin where she was an inspired teacher of English and Film Studies at Cudahy High School for many years. She obtained her Master's degree at UW Milwaukee. Diane was a social activist in the sixties and marched with Father Groppi. In her retirement she was a docent at the Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette. She loved movies, books, knitting, watercolor painting, basketry and caring for her cats. She belonged to Civil War and Great Books discussion groups. Diane is survived by her sister Joan Zeiger, 9000 E. SanVictor Dr. #112, Scottsdale, AZ 85258 and her niece Kathy Teske of Arizona and her nephew Glen Zeiger in Milwaukee. She is fondly remembered as Aunt Diane by Ross and Amanda Teske, their daughters Robyn and Ellie, and Brian and Christina Teske. She was dearly loved and cared for by her best friends Linda Van Driel, Jim Middleton and Barb Mickelson. God bless them.Thanks to the Milwaukee Catholic Home for constant support and comfort.
