Oct. 18, 1961 Oct. 1, 2016 Diane Landers passed away on Oct. 1, after a sudden illness, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Vallejo on Oct. 18, 1961 to Janet and Francis Landers. Diane attended Cooper Elementary, Franklin and Vallejo Jr. High Schools and graduated from Vallejo Senior High School in 1979, where she was the Head Majorette in the Vallejo Apache Marching Band. After attending Solano Community College, Diane graduated from Sac State University. If you were fortunate enough to have known Diane, there are two things that you will fondly remember. Diane always had a smile on her face and would do anything for anyone. If she called you a friend you were the lucky one. Also, she was never afraid of hard work. Diane worked at Mervyns and American Greetings through school and upon college graduation quickly joined the work force in San Francisco. Diane was Manager of Training and Development for Hogue in San Francisco where she worked for 28 years and was loved by everyone in the industry. Diane truly leaves behind many close friends. Diane is survived by her mother, Janet Landers; brother and sister in law, Gerald and Kathleen Landers of Sacramento; brother, Ronald Landers of Vallejo and partner Doc Snyder of Benicia. Diane was preceded in death by her father, Francis Landers. Funeral service will be held on Oct.19, at 11:30 a.m., at Colonial Chapels, 1000 Redwood St. in Vallejo. In lieu of of flowers, donations are appreciated in Diane's name to Sutter Care at Home Hospice 800-698-1273. Arrangements entrusted to Colonial Chapels 643-3091.
