LAUREL - Diana Jo Gillespie passed away on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017. Diana was born Jan. 1, 1956, in Edwardsville, Ill. She was a member of the ministerial staff at Truth & Life Center, Georgetown. Her membership and participation in the ministries of the Pentecostals of Dover, Truth & Life Center, North East, Md., and Truth & Life Center, Georgetown, was profoundly impacting on all who survive her. She moved to Dover, in 1976 to register at Kent Christian College as one of the first students. She was one of the first graduates in the college's 20 year history. She went on to earn her Master's degree. Early in her Dover journey, she was recognized as a talented, compassionate teacher. Hundreds of Kent Christian Academy students owe their math skills to her dedication. Their lives continue to be enriched by her patient tutoring. She passed through their lives and, to this day, they applaud her contribution to their education and development. Diana is survived by her dear friend, Gina Sweeney, of Laurel. Gina was special to her beyond words. It was her greatest joy to assist Gina in business and their personal pursuits. Early in their friendship, Gina recognized Diana's truest form of love, loyalty, honesty and kindness. Her wisdom has forever been instilled into Gina and the multitude of people who had the opportunity to interact with her, whether as a friend, business associate or in spiritual matters. She is survived by her adopted family of the last 40 years, Pastors Wayne and Janet Trout; Pastor Anthony and Tammy Trout; Ryan and Kristen Trout; Devin and Kirsten Trout; Jeanette Berry and her two daughters, Stephanie and Tom Kearns, Brittany and Diana's new grandnephew, Brody Kearns. Diana was the business administrator for Truth & Life Center, North East, Md., and Georgetown.
