In memory of
Dennis Paul Redler
Dennis Paul Redler, peacefully entered into the gates of heaven at his home in Metairie on October 6, 2016. He leaves behind not only his beloved wife of 42 years, but his best friend and soul mate, Sue Stover Redler. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Ruth Redler, and his brother, David Redler. Also survived by his brothers and their families, Daniel and Carolyn Redler, niece Niki Redler, Darrell and Rene' Redler, nieces Hope Redler and Michelle Redler. His in-laws and their family, James and Pamela Ducote, nieces Tiffany Huxen, Lacey Donovan, her husband Jeff, Cameron Ducote and Alison Ducote, nephew Robert Ducote, his wife Jennefer, great- niece Chloe Huxen, great-nephews Mason Blange, Carter Donovan and Jonathan Ducote. Dennis was a good man, who enjoyed life to its fullest, happy, positive and a friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. One of his passions was collecting war memorabilia and boy does he have a collection. Even while battling cancer he was always concerned about the welfare of everyone else. He was loved dearly and will be missed tremendously. He greatly appreciated everyone who stepped up to help him and Sue through this troubling time. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at University Hospital for the wonderful loving care he received. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Kruse and Celia for helping him cope with his pain in the last few weeks. Thank you also to Mr. Jack Tittle for handling all legal affairs. Family and friends, employees of Target and Krispy Kreme are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, 1600 N. Causeway Blvd, on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 3:00 PM with a visitation beginning at 1:30 PM. Friends are also invited to celebrate Dennis's life at a gathering immediately following the services at James and Pamela Ducote's home in River Ridge. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the family to help with end of life expenses. Condolences may be expressed online at Information 504-835-2341.
