Dennis R. Kay
1937 ~ 2016 Dennis R. Kay, 79, was born on September 8, 1937 in Salt Lake City, UT and passed away peacefully on October 1, 2016 at home after battling cancer and muscular dystrophy. Heartfelt thanks to Banner Hospice for their service during this difficult time. He graduated from West High School (SLC, UT). He served honorably in the U.S. Coast Guard for 22 years, and worked for Utah Job Service servicing veterans. After retiring from the Coast Guard, he graduated from Westminster College with a Bachelor's of Science in Behavioral Science and continued on to the University of Utah to pursue post graduate work in European History. He enjoyed photography, capturing the beautiful moments in life. He is survived by his loving wife Helen of 59 years, their daughters Paula Evans (Kelley Evans), Christine Kay (Muhammad Haque), sister Linda Kay, and three grandchildren Fahim, Farihah, and Breann. He is proceeded in death by his brother Raymond. He loved spending his last years in warm and sunny Surprise, AZ. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. My love, you will be in my heart always. His cremated remains will be placed at the City View Memoriam in SLC, UT.
