CORDI Dennis Michael Cordi, of All Souls Anglican Church, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 16, 2017 at the age of 69. He was born in Binghamton, NY and moved to Jacksonville in 1988. Dennis served in the U.S. Army from 1966 to 1968, and was a medic in Germany during that time. He was a beloved and devoted member of All Souls Anglican Church in Mandarin, where he served as Assistant Warden. Dennis was also a dedicated volunteer for World Relief Agency, spending countless hours picking up and delivering donated goods to the Christian Sudanese refugees known as the Lost Boys and others, helping them get settled in their new homes. He became known as Red Truck for the red pick-up he used to carry donations across town, touching countless lives. As a result of his tireless efforts he received the Faith in Action Award from Volunteer Jacksonville in 2005. Dennis was also a teacher of the Agape series for the Kairos Prison Ministry. He is survived by his wife, Carol, his son, Patrick (Debra), his daughter Danielle, and his grandson Trevor. He was predeceased by his son Michael. After cremation, a memorial service will be held at All Souls Anglican Church, 4042 Hartley Rd, Jacksonville, on Saturday, February 18 at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Ackerman Cancer Center, 10881 San Jose Blvd, Jacksonville.
