In memory of
Denia "Granny" Brindzik
Denia "Granny" Brindzik, 93, of Panama City, FL, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2016. She was born June 5, 1923, in Green River, WY. As a young girl, Denia enjoyed playing on logs in the mill pond where her father worked and making taffy with her mother. As she got older, she began showing interest in traveling, crafts, and especially art. From 1944-1946, Denia served in the United States Navy and was stationed in Hawaii for most of her military career. Upon leaving the Navy, Denia attended the Art Institute of Allende in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Once she completed art school, she met her husband, moved to California, and began raising a family. Art continued to be her passion, and she carried it with her until her passing. Denia was a devoted woman of faith and a strong believer in the Lord. She attended Highpraise Worship Center, and was adored by her church family. Her loving spirit was infectious, which made it easy for her to make friends with strangers. Denia always felt the urge to motivate others with her love for the Lord, as she would frequently write letters of inspiration to people, when guided by the Holy Spirit. Denia led an extraordinary life and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Denia was preceded in death by her husband, Tom "Grandada" Brindzik. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Maria Keenam, Martin Brindzik (Jana), Elizabeth "DeeDee" Hartmann (Leigh) and Denise Ramirez (Jose); grandchildren, Amber Hartmann, Mitch Stanfield, Nova Hammerquist, Christopher Ramirez and Ray Nowak (Monica); great-grandchild, Nakotah Nowak; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. A celebration of Denia's life will be held at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20, 2016, at High Praise Worship Center. Those wishing to extend condolences may do so at www.heritagefhllc.com.
