Mrs. Delia J. "Titi" Tallman MANSFIELD: Mrs. Delia J. "Titi" Tallman, longtime resident of Mansfield, died peacefully surrounded by her family at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the age of 80. Delia was born on January 30, 1936 in Lima, Peru, to Luis Ampuero and Luzmila Angulo. In her youth, she was part of a dancing troupe and she performed in South America and Europe. In 1971, Delia immigrated to Mamaroneck, New York with her children. She began working as a nurse's aide, taking care of the ill, and was a nanny for the Farley family. Delia loved music, dancing, great food and watching her beloved New York Yankees. Most of all she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted to her family. Her life's motto was "family first." Delia will be loved and missed forever. Delia is survived by her children, Lilia Castillo, Gina (Tim) Swanger, Delia Black, Alfredo (Monica) Vilca and Javier Vilca; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Alicia Ampuero, Alejandro Ampuero, Marco Garcia, and Marianela Garcia. She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Luis Ampuero. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016, at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, officiated by Pastor Wendell Anderson. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Conard House, 71 Blymyer Avenue, Mansfield, OH 44903.
