Deborah Sue Peters Young, 62, of Campbellsville, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at the Norton Hospital in Louisville. Born in Lebanon on March 30, 1955, she was the daughter of the late William P. and Margaret Hood Peters. She was a member of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church in Taylor County where she served as the church pianist, a 1973 graduate of Washington County High School and an interior decorator. Preceding her in death was an infant brother, William Peters, Jr., in 1958. Survivors include her husband, David Young; two daughters, Amy Dawn McNeill and Elizabeth Renee Rakes (Aaron) of Campbellsville; six grandchildren, Courtney, Kyle, Jonathan, Cameron, Nicholas and Brionna; one great grandchild, Austin; a sister, Sandy Huddleston (Phil Dee) of Elizabethtown and a special niece, Tammy Milton of Elizabethtown. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 15, at the Carey & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Collison, pastor of the Robinson Creek Baptist Church, officiated. Burial followed at Cemetery Hill in Springfield. Serving as pallbearers were Kyle Rakes, Jonathan Rakes, Loren Chesser, Cameron McNeill, Dillon Powell and Joe Peters.
