Deanna Louise Freeland
Deanna Louise Freeland passed away peacefully on October 16, 2016 in Spokane, Washington with her husband and daughter by her side. Deanna was born in Richmond, Indiana on July 12, 1953, daughter of Bill and Betty Reece. She graduated from Northeastern High School in 1971. She spent the next few years raising her daughter Heather Ann with former husband Dennis Kolp. At her 20th high school reunion, Deanna reconnected with her high school sweetheart Phil. She followed him to Spokane, WA where they spent 24 happy years together. Deanna was a gentle, sweet soul who loved family, summertime, gardening, music especially classic rock and roll, cats, reading, gambling, and college basketball especially Gonzaga and her beloved Indiana Hoosiers. She is survived by her husband Phil, her daughter Heather Ann Kolp, stepchildren Jason Chapin, Holly Chapin, Rustie Freeland, and Nathaniel (Amber) Freeland. Sister Charlotte (James) Webb, Pam (Gary) Smith, Becky (Jack) Baker, and brothers John Reece and Steve (Ginger) Reece, and numerous step-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Services for Deanna will be held at Smith-McQuiston Funeral Home in Fountain City, Indiana. Friends and family may call on Friday, October 21st from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral service, officiated by Pastor Richard Martin, will be held on Saturday, October 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
