David Campion, 80, of Highbridge, Wis., passed away at Stamford Memorial Hospital in Stamford, Texas, on Jan. 4, 2017. He was born March 9, 1936, in Rochester the son of Harold and Mildred (Gillies) Campion. He was the youngest of three children. He graduated from Rochester High School in 1954. David served his country in the U.S. Air Force for the next four years. Then he continued his education, earning an Associate degree in accounting. He worked as an electrician for many years. David married Dr. Sara Tee Selmon on May 6, 1983, in Rochester. The Campions have resided on their farm near Highbridge, Wis., for the past 16 years. Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Dr. Tee Selmon of Highbridge, Wis.; one daughter, Cristi Kath and husband Allen of Tucson, Ariz.; one son, Christopher Campion of Colorado Springs, Colo.; four grandchildren, Gregory Kath, Rebecca Kath., Allison Kath, and Nicole Kath all of Tucson, Ariz.; two sisters, Carol Kruger of Rochester, and Mary Lou Bohlman of St. Louis; his father-in-law, Dr. Tony Selmon of Stamford, Texas; two brothers-in-law, John Richard Selmon and wife, Pricilla, of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Dr. Matthew Rowland Selmon and wife, Lezli, of Austin, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Craig Campion. A Mass of Christian Burial for David will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Highbridge, Wis., with Father Simon Boyapati as celebrant. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Thursday at the Church in Highbridge and continue until the hour of service. Interment will take place in Mount Hope Cemetery, Highbridge, Wis.
