Darleen Frances Koch Darleen F. Koch of Shelton, an 11 year resident of the area, passed away April 13 in her home at the age of 92. She was born August 3, 1924, in Allegan, MI, to Howard and Carlotta Peabody. She graduated from Allegan High School in 1942 then, married Ralph Koch December 7th, 1946. They moved to Olympia, Washington some time after that. She worked for Century Link (formally known as NW Bell) phone company for years and retired from there in her mid 50's. She loved spending time with her family, traveling, and taking boat rides. She enjoyed golfing and was an avid gardener with a flair for adventure. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; brothers Bud Peabody and Don Peabody (Helen); daughter Gloria Koch (Pat) of Olympia; sons Lee Koch of Florida and Wayne Koch (Traci) of Shelton; granddaughter Angela Manke (Bucky) of Shelton; grandson Jason Fry (Ronda) of Shelton; grandson Jonathan Fry of Olympia; great-grandson Alec Manke of Shelton; great-granddaughter Karlee Manke of Shelton; great-grandson Kayle Fry of Shelton; great-granddaughter Morgan Fry of Shelton, granddaughter Cindy Solis (Jake) of Las Vegas; great-grandaughter Madison Solis of Las Vegas; great-grandson Porter Solis of Las Vegas. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 22nd, at Forest Funeral Home and Cemetery, 2501 Pacific Ave SE, Olympia, WA. Darleen was a very kind and loving woman with a wonderful sense of humor. She was gracious, spontaneous and full of life. A truly beautiful soul that will be terribly missed by everyone who knew her.
