Darla Faye Zollinger, 70, of Rexburg, passed away Monday, Oct. 17, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born Sept. 16, 1946, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Darrell and Olive Ard. She attended schools in Rexburg and graduated from Madison High School in 1964. In high school she participated on the drill team and the band. After high school she attended a year of schooling at Ricks College. She worked on the family farm. She also worked for the Viking Hotel and Fantastic Inn, where she was the head housekeeper. She concluded her career at Artco. She was an avid outdoor person. She loved Idaho and all that there is to do, whether it was fishing, boating, camping, horseback riding or riding four-wheelers. She was a member of several organizations, including, EISA, Upper Valley Wrangler Posse, Upper Valley ATV Assoc., and the Eagle Rock ATV Club. She loved riding and associating with those she rode with. She was also involved in Cub Scouting, where she served as a den mother. She loved her animals and took in all strays. She is survived by her husband, Tom, and her children, Darin (Lora) Zollinger and Yavette Zollinger as well as her grandchildren, Sara (Tayler) Carlson and Katie Zollinger. She is also survived by her brother, Ronnie (Sherri) Ard. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, at the Rexburg South Stake Center. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:30-7 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and again from 10-10:45 a.m. at the church prior to service. Interment will be in the Cache-Clawson Cemetery.
