Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Danny's favorite charity: StandUp2Cancer.org Danny was born June 2, 1952, in Alton, Ill. Because his grandparents raised 12 children, he has numerous relatives in the Alton area who are very fond of him. Danny and his family moved to Texas in 1969, where he has lived happily ever since. Danny married his beloved wife, Eileen, in 1984. They settled in Euless and raised three wonderful children. He worked at Oncor Electric Delivery Company for the past 38 years and was set to retire in just three months from now. Five weeks ago, Danny was working his regular shift as a Senior Troubleshooter for Oncor. His life was suddenly cut short by a very aggressive cancer. His wife and son, Nick, went to extraordinary lengths to secure medical attention for him at M.D. Anderson and Houston Methodist Hospital. But it was too late. When his family realized his life was in imminent danger in late September, Danny's daughter, Alyssa, in only three days, put together her wedding which had been planned for January 2017. On October 2, in an intimate and beautiful ceremony by the lake, Danny proudly gave the hand of his youngest daughter in marriage to a man Danny had introduced her to, Austin Reyes. Later that afternoon, Danny's daughter, Summer, hosted an amazing Retirement Party with 30 people celebrating Danny's life while painting on canvas, making it a memorable day beyond belief. Danny passed away six days later, having lived a life dedicated to his family, working hard, playing hard and bringing a smile to everyone's face. Danny was a man who loved his family more than anything else and gave them everything. A fun loving, gentle soul with a heart of gold, Danny made so many people happy and will never be forgotten.
