In memory of
DANIEL E. NIPPERT
GENEVA - Daniel E. Nippert, 66, passed away peacefully Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago in the arms of his loving family. He was born March 11, 1950 in Geneva, the son of Donald and Hattie (Deutsch) Nippert of St. Charles. Daniel graduated from St. Charles High School in 1968, known to most as "Mr. St. Charles" or "Nip". He then began his journey as a restaurant owner, IT consultant, and eventual entrepreneur. His hobbies included archaeological digs, recreational fishing and camping, as well as genealogical research. Daniel was a great story teller with an infectious smile and an optimistic attitude that inspired the lives of many. He had lifelong friends who he frequently met for coffee and intellectual conversations. His greatest pastime was spending time with his family and being a "PopPop" to his two grandchildren, Hanson and Linnea. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Jill (Murphy) Nippert; daughters Ashley (Robert) Yoggerst of WA, Whitney (Jeffrey) Molsen of Chicago, and Kelsey of Pingree Grove; mother Hattie and brother Thomas both of MO; and many dear nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Nippert, and father, Donald E. Nippert. Visitation will be held Saturday, January 14, 2017 from 4 pm until the time of his funeral service at 7 pm at Malone Funeral Home, 324 E. State St. (Route 38), Geneva. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Illinois, 954 W. Washington Boulevard, Suite 305, Chicago, Illinois 60607 or www.lls.org would be appreciated.
