CYNTHIA A. GORDON
Cynthia A. Gordon, 69, of Wellsboro, passed away Thursday, Jan. 12, 2017, at ManorCare North, in Williamsport. She was born Oct. 9, 1947, in Newark N.J., the daughter of the late John and Thelma (Minahan) Gordon. Later, Thelma married Norman Hill, who was involved with caring for Cynthia. Cynthia was a member of St. Peter's Catholic Church, Wellsboro. She was employed at the Florida Board of Nursing as an administrative secretary before retiring. Cynthia loved animals especially her cats, Guido and Louie. She was a supporter of St. Labre Indian School in Ashland, Mont. Cynthia is survived by her son, David M. Gordon (Tara) of Wellsboro; sister, Kathleen Gordon (George Lindsey) of Kearny, N.J.; brother, Richard Hill (Sandra) of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Deborah Hill of Norman, Okla.; two granddaughters, Jasmine and Elizabeth Gordon; two grandsons, Justin and Thomas Gordon, all of Wellsboro; several nieces and nephews. Cynthia's Life Celebration will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 17, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Tussey-Mosher Funeral Home, 139 Main St., Wellsboro. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 18, 9:30 a.m., at St. Peter's Catholic Church with Rev. David Bechtel officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
