Mr. Curtis Eskridge Rockwood, TN Mr. Curtis Lee Eskridge, age 73, of Rockwood, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 14th at the Tennova Medical Center- Turkey Creek in Knoxville, Tennessee. Curtis was a member and deacon at Phillippi Primitive Baptist Church. He attended and was a graduate of Campbell High School in 1961. Curtis was an avid bowler throughout his life. He was a retired Chemical Operator of 34 years at K25 in Oak Ridge. He is preceded in death by his mother, Rosetta Eskridge Jones Beck; great-grandmother, Etta Eskridge Roddy; father, Amos Roddy; brothers, Sterling Cooper, Lawrence Roddy; and brother-in-law, Rev. Jerry Miller. He leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted wife of 53 years, Dorothy Eskridge; children, Christopher Eskridge of Hampton, VA, Denise Winton (George) of Knoxville, TN, Norma Reeves (Rod) of Knoxville, TN, Keith Eskridge (Cindy) of Kingston, TN, Julian Eskridge (Shonda) of Knoxville, TN; brothers and sisters, Pam Roddy, Laura Cook, Bonnie Roddy, Amy Roddy, Shirley Roddy, Virginia Miller, Brenda Easter (Troy), Harold Jones (Brenda), Herbert Jones (Vilma), McKinley Jones (Rika), and Donald Jones; step-mother, Helen Roddy; step-father, Elder James Beck Jr. He enjoyed the affection of 10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; devoted friends, Dee Markelonis, Elder James Knaff, Bro. Johnny Johnson, Bro. Albert Hawkins and many more. Arrangements are as follows: The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 22nd from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Evans Mortuary. Funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel at Evans Mortuary with Elder Phillip Corbett, Elder James Knaff, Pastor William Hall, and Bro. Joe Eskridge officiating. Interment and graveside services will follow in the Roane Memorial Garden in Rockwood, Tennessee. Evans Mortuary is serving the Eskridge Family.
