PRICE COLLEEN Catherine Elizabeth Colleen Gallagher Price was born in August 1935 in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away on October 4, 2016, in Clovis, California. Colleen grew up in Detroit, and graduated from St. Cecilia's High School in 1952. She resided in seven states over the years--primarily Michigan, Missouri, and California. Colleen retired from FedEx, and over the years also worked for Group Health Plan, the Michigan Credit Union League, and the Traverse City Osteopathic Hospital. In retirement, she was fulfilled by her volunteer work with Hinds Hospice and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish in the Fresno area. Colleen especially enjoyed visiting with friends and family (in person and via social media), sewing, gardening, doing crossword puzzles, and baking. Colleen was a smart, funny, hard-working, honest woman who successfully did her best being a loving wife and patient mother during a particularly challenging time of social and cultural change. She was a dedicated friend to many across the country. Colleen was preceded in death last year by her dedicated spouse of 59 years, Albert. She is survived by brother John Gallagher (Judy) of Arkansas, and her children and their spouses: Sharyn and Jesse, Catherine and Calvin, Alan and Les, Barbara and Chris, Paul and Barbara, Greg and Kammy, Elizabeth and Amit, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her children, and by all who knew her. A memorial Mass will be held in her honor at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, Clovis, CA, at 11 a.m., October 28, 2016. A private celebration of life will be held the following day. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to Hinds Hospice, online at hindshospice.org/donate, or by mail to 2490 W.
