Mr. Clyde Morrison Jr.
Clyde Morrison Jr., 69, passed away at his home in Shepherdsville on Saturday, February 11, 2017.
He dedicated his entire career to Anheuser-Busch Inc. where he was frequently recognized as Salesman of the Year and was liked and respected by his co-workers and his customers. He retired in 2007.
Clyde proudly served his country in the Vietnam War as a Seabee with the United States Navy. He was a lifelong and fourth-generation member of Grace Emmanuel United Church of Christ on Story Avenue, a longtime member of Turners of Louisville, an enthusiastic fisherman, a former Assistant Scoutmaster, and frequent volunteer at Roby Elementary School in the Family Resource Center. He enjoyed talking about his beloved grandparents, the comedy team of "Hanlon and Clark" who performed around the country and with the USO during WWII. He was a good friend to all. He loved people and would help anyone, friend or stranger alike. Just being with him would make you smile and he could charm even the most serious person to laugh out loud. But above all else he was a devoted husband, father and son. His family meant everything to him.
He is survived by his wife and the love of his life for almost 34 years, Nancy McKnight; three sons, Tony (Tammy), Michael, Matthew; three grandchildren, Tanner, Trevor, and Tristan. He is also survived by three brothers, Ted, Tommy, and Danny. He was preceded in death by his father, Clyde Morrison Sr., and his mother Betty Jo Morrison.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 2:00pm in the chapel of Schoppenhorst, Underwood, & Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.). Friends may pay their respects on Friday, February 17, 2017 from 1:00pm until 8:00pm and on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 10:00 am until time of service.
